Protest Michelle Rhee! Wednesday, Nov. 9, 6:30pm

Take a stand for public education
Protest Michelle Rhee!

Wednesday November 9, 6:30pm
Meet outside Boston Symphony Orchestra Hall
301 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston MA

Michelle Rhee, former chancellor of D.C. schools, has been invited to speak in Boston as a part of the Boston Symphony Orchestra Speakers’ Series. And, teachers, students and community members are taking a stand against Rhee’s “education reform” policies!

Since becoming Chancellor of D.C. schools, Michelle Rhee has overseen and promoted education policies that have seen the layoff of hundreds of teachers and administrators in D.C.; promoted the transfer of public education funds to privately run charter schools, and, overall, has transformed the debate around school reform from one which involves teachers, students and community members to one based on seeing teachers as the problem. The main issue behind the underperformance of certain public schools is severe under-funding and budget cuts, NOT TEACHERS!
