6/18, SYRIZA's victory in Greece and the future of the Left

Thursday June 18th 7pm
358 Washington St Dorchester, MA

Working class people in Greece have faced massive levels of austerity in recent years, leading them to carry out over forty general strikes and recently elect SYRIZA (The Coalition of the Radical Left) into office on a platform of anti-austerity and social justice--make it one of the most important victories for the Left and the working class internationally. Since SYRIZA has come to office all eyes have turned to Greece as they have faced a series of major challenges in pushing back the ruling class austerity agenda.

Join the Boston ISO for a discussion of several Socialist Worker articles on Greece and SYRIZA. There will also be a second section assessing our on going organizing in anti-racist and recent panel we helped organizing featuring victims of police violence in Boston. All are welcome.

Proposed Agenda:

1) SYRIZA (60 min)

2) Anti-racism assessment (60)
