We live in a society where the main drive of all human activity is the pursuit of a higher rate of profit. That's why everything falls victim to being merchandise: education, health, electricity, transportation, nature, animals... people! But what if we can change this? What if we can use our labor to satisfy our needs and not the needs of the capitalistic market?
Remember these lyrics? It's from a beautiful communist song...
"Imagine there's no countries, nothing to kill or die for, Imagine no possessions, no need for greed and hunger..." - John Lennon, "Imagine"
Join the International Socialist Organization in our study group the Meaning of Marxism, this Saturday the 20th at 2:30 p.m. at Pho Hoa (1370 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester). We will be discussing Chapter 13.
